The brewery also offers an upstairs area called “The Loft,” which includes draft cocktails, TVs, and plenty of room for social gatherings. Additionally, there’s an outdoor patio with views of the Bank of America Stadium and Uptown Charlotte and a rooftop with stunning views of the Charlotte skyline.
HopFly Brewing has its original location in Rocky Mount, NC (not yet documented here) and expanded its presence in Charlotte by acquiring the assets and intellectual property of Unknown Brewing Co. (Unknown Brewing [Closed].) This acquisition included taking over the lease of the property. This strategic move allowed HopFly to tap into the Charlotte craft beer market, which the founder, Cam Schulz, says is the most competitive in the state.
After acquiring the Unknown Brewing Co.’s lease and assets, HopFly Brewing spent 18 months searching for the perfect space in Charlotte before finalizing this location. The brewery has undergone significant renovations to transform the 25,000-square-foot space, gutting the building for a fresh start. This expansion signifies HopFly’s commitment to establishing a significant presence in Charlotte’s craft beer scene.
