The Frothy Beard Brewing Company expanded to this location from its Charleston, SC roots. This expansion is part of the brewery’s broader growth strategy, bringing its unique brand and brewing style to a new audience in North Carolina.
Frothy Beard was created by Joey, Steve, and Michael in 2013, making it the 10th brewery in South Carolina. The founders aimed to bring unique and unadulterated fun to the Charleston beer scene. The brewery quickly gained popularity for its fun flavors and creative events.
After its initial success, Frothy Beard moved to its second location in 2017 to accommodate more visitors and expand its offerings. This new location in West Ashley, Charleston, features a large indoor taproom and 32 different rotating taps. Additionally, they opened a location in Summerville, SC, named “Frothy Beard Off World,” offering 40 taps with a variety of beer styles and a different menu concept, including a Sunday brunch.
