Habitat Brewing is located within the Habitat Tavern and Commons, which is a throwback to a time when the tavern was the hub of the community. This brewery offers 16 taps, 8 of which were house offerings but beer is only one of the specialties here. They are the home of the Asheville Improv Collective (Standup Comedy), which appears regularly. They have lecture series with various professors entitled Pints with Profs, where professors discuss various topics in which they are expert. Various political groups meet at the tavern. Live music is common. There is really too much going on to list here and it changes continuously. Housed in a gorgeous space with ample room for groups and families. Great for kids and dogs. Growler fills and flights of 4 are available. Limited merchandise is also for sale.
