Don’t judge a book by its cover, these new kids in the Asheville beer scene bring the goods.

The no frills entrance and near complete lack of signage upon driving in lowers your expectations but once you sip on the 6 beers they offer you’ll be a believe that this new brewery on the scene means business. Open just 4-weeks at the time of visit means they don’t yet fill growlers or have a full profile of beers to fill the 12 tap system that is in place. A few standard styles were available (Stout & IPA) but some oddities too, Session Breakfast Porter & Patersbier. They will be specializing in Farmhouse Ales, but none were ready when I visited, as they take more time to prepare. A nice clean an open industrial style building with a huge outdoor area along the French Broad.  An on site food truck provided by a local favorite, Taqueria Munoz, will not leave you hungry. Great facility for kids and dogs. Merchandise in the form of shirts and sweatshirts area available.

  1. When in the Rome of craft beer options, love to stop and sample the finesse beers and the relaxed vibe and beautiful trees arched over the French Broad. Craft brewers often shy away from Porters, here it brings a smoked malt and more. Despite the insanity of the pandemic, plants keep growing, why not us?
