Featuring a full restaurant, twelve taps are pouring downstairs and also selling bottles and cans, this brewery is known for its sour and farmhouse ales.

I must admit disappointment here. While it is a fact I did not come on a good day, they conveyed they were “open” and not partially open online and the location was virtually unmarked with no signage to indicate this even was the Haw River brewery.

I need to try again, because I really like their beer and came on a day when they were upstairs dining area was closed. Downstairs there was a small taproom serving one person at a time and a tiny garden area with two picnic tables and two small chairs for seating. Many were taking beer out to the grassy pavilion area nearby. They were recommending the Saxapahaw General Store as a recommendation for food which has a substantial menu and beer selection with its cans and bottles listed in Untapped.
