A traditional pub, boasting the local title of “most ornate pub in England”. The venue was commissioned between 1898 and 1900 and is across the street from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra Choir and Society (and so frequented by concert-goers and performers).

This famous venue was recently repopularized by Paul McCartney’s appearance on Carpool Karaoke. It should be noted that the stage and even the bar opposite the stage and the jukebox were all brought in for the show making the real location rather different in appearance.
