Located in Charlotte’s South End, Helles & Dunkle (formerly World of Beer) boasts over 500 global beers. They have 60 rotating taps, a long list of bottles and also serve liquor and a small menu of bar food.
The owners rebranded themselves when leaving the World of Beer franchise in February of 2015. No doubt the selection is impressive, but I must say I think the number of different beers is greatly exaggerated.
A small menu, they serve some of the best things that go well with beer: pretzels, wings hot dogs and pizza. There is a shuffleboard table, darts, a pinball machine and a juke box, as well as several televisions. A large bar, lots of tables and event booths, this is a location ready to handle a decent crowd.
