The Common Market in Plaza Midwood is a cool place that is hard to categorize. It feels like a convenience store up front, but with a deli, huge wine and beer selection, and 14 taps of local craft beer.

Order sandwiches from the deli or buy snacks from the store to accompany your choice of 14 craft beers. If your looking for beer to go, there is an impressive selection of craft beers and imports. Four large cabinets full and about as many in the 12 refrigerated units to take home cold.

The bar inside is small, but you’ll find lots of room to sit outside. Playing inside and out was death metal– not hard music for a tame ear, I mean legit death metal. A very cool change from the norm!

Almost directly across the street from Legion Brewing and just a short walk from Pint Central and the Hop Shop.

There is a second location in Oakwold (4420A Monroe Rd) and another in Charlotte’s South End (235 W. Tremont Street).
